Hello to all of our brilliant backers! First, a huge thank you for helping us reach 200% funding! We’re so happy to have hit this new milestone and can’t thank you enough!
So we wanted to use this update to talk about manufacturing. We’re happy to confirm that we are going to be working with Hopes Games for the production of Sakana Stack. We’ve seen a number of examples of the games Hopes have manufactured and we’re really happy with the quality of the product. We’ve also been impressed with their communication so far and are looking forward to working with them.
The other news is that we’re happy to say that as our funding has gone so well we are going to upgrade the card spec to a linen finish. We didn’t set out any stretch goals in the campaign, so this is a bit of a surprise upgrade and we’re really happy we can improve the quality of the final version of Sakana Stack to our backers!
So we have just under one week to go now until the campaign ends! Please do help us spread the word as we get closer to the final 48 hours of the campaign and as always please get in contact if you have any questions.

Halfway point update

Hi to all of you, we hope you’ve had a great start to the week!
We are now at the halfway point of the campaign and are steadily gaining more backers as we get closer to hitting the 200% funded milestone! We’re still in shock that the campaign has gone so well, and now we are aiming to see just how far we can go.
So, the update this week is that we are happy to confirm we will be using Backerkit for our pledge manager. For those who have not used Kickstarter or a pledge manager before, this means that when the campaign ends on 31st October, we shall collect all of your pledges. In November, your pledge will then be transferred to Backerkit, where we can manage the final details, including shipping, nearer to the fulfilment date in 2025.

Hello to all of our wonderful backers! Thanks again for supporting Sakana Stack and helping make our game a reality. We’re currently at 182% funded with 215 of you backing so far!
Now that we know we’ll be going into full production, we have started working on the next stages to make sure we hit our timelines. This includes finalising our manufacturer and pledge manager along with getting all the files ready to send to print.
With manufacturers busy at Essen over the past week, we have put a lot of focus on getting the final rulebook ready. This has included simplifying and streamlining the rules for greater clarity and the most recent playtests could not have gone any better! So we're really happy to say the rules are ready and Joss will now be starting on the graphic design.
Thanks so much to the playtesting volunteers and the publishers/designers who have helped to proofread and advise us on getting the rules ready.
This of course includes the 2 player rules which have been written, thoroughly tested and have great reviews so we’re really happy this will be part of the final production.

The response to Sakana Stack has absolutely blown us away and we cannot believe we have funded in just 3 hours!! Words cannot describe what this means to us right now.
Thank you all so much to every one of you for backing this project and helping us to fund so quickly. And a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey, we wouldn’t have been able to do this without your guidance and knowledge! It’s been so much fun getting to various cons and playing games with so many people, the tabletop games community is truly a special community to be a part of.
Knowing that in 2025 we will be able to bring our game to life is simply incredible and we cannot wait to get Sakana Stack to you so you can start playing!
